Nobody does Christmas like Black folks. These five songs prove it.

#1:  Silent Night (by The Temptations) – This song needs no introduction. “In my mind…” tells us all we need to know.

#2 Santa Claus Is A Black Man (by Akim and Teddy Vann) – By the time you’re done listening to this love letter to Blackness, you’ll be so transformed that Afro Sheen will hate to see you coming.

#3 What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas (by the Emotions)—Christmas can be joyful, but it’s also a time when many of us struggle. This song reminds us that it’s okay to feel however we feel during this time.

#4 All I Want For Christmas Is You (by Mariah Carey) – Let’s be real. Is it really even Christmas without this song?

#5 Let It Snow (by Boyz II Men ft Brian McKnight) – You don’t even have to know what snow is for this song to make you feel cozy and warm.
