Product Lead, Events
A research-driven, entrepreneurial minded individual who is energized by exploring new revenue models for social change organizations, specifically via events and festivals. We need someone to design, conduct, and analyze data from surveys and interviews with our 1.7M subscribers as we explore the viability of an events product for PushBlack.
Our strategy is based on lean experimentation principles (e.g., lean startup, design thinking, etc.) so we take a data-driven, experiment-oriented approach to our work. We try out ideas quickly, use data to figure out what works for our audience, and then iterate. There’s a lot we want to learn from our subscribers about how they select events to attend, what prices they pay for fun activities, and whether they want our brand to produce events just for them.
Because of this approach, we are looking for an analytical person who thrives in our dynamic testing environment, executes decisions backed by data over a “good” idea/concept supported only by instincts, and is energized to explore multiple event models for Black-Americans.
This is not an events planning role, although it has the potential to develop into one in the future.
PushBlack is looking for a mission-driven, entrepreneurial individual who will develop, test, and scale an African-American-focused, tech-based, revenue-positive media service. Product development will begin with an initial “customer discovery” phase to determine possible content services and products, and then move quickly into building, testing, and iterating on the ideas that show the most promise.
