George Zimmerman Brings More Anger With New Lawsuit
George Zimmerman is back in the news… and he’s just as low down as ever.
He hasn’t stopped tormenting the family of Travyon Martin since killing the teen in 2012. But getting away with murder wasn’t enough. No, he wants even more and it’s simply ridiculous.
He’s suing the family of Trayvon Martin and their lawyer. Miami Herald reported “the suit seeks $100 million in civil damages, alleging defamation, abuse of civil process and conspiracy.”
A Child Who Couldn't Fight Back Was Attacked By A Cop
When a callous officer acts without compassion, no one is safe.
And a Black teen in Arizona - a quadruple amputee abandoned by his parents and left a ward of the state - recently experienced the disgusting and purely unnecessary wrath of a cop named Manuel Van Santen.
This City Dares To Make Black Educators Their Priority
Time and again, studies prove that children perform exceptionally well when they connect to the educator leading their lessons.
This knowledge, coupled with a teacher shortage AND a diversity problem, caused the Pennsylvania state school district and other officials to panic.
The Hottest Movie This Year Isn't Without Controversy
The hottest movie in Black America right now is Lena Waithe’s “Queen & Slim.” Detailing a first date that goes way left when a white police officer gets involved, it’s been called “[s]tylish, provocative, and powerful,” and has great reviews.
But not everybody’s happy.
Twitter unearthed the original casting call for the role of Queen, and it’s not a good look:

He had been tasered - and the prongs were still stuck in his body! Now, this horrified mother is working to discover the truth about what happened to her child that day.
The African Child Labor Behind Everyday Products
The electronics we buy, planes and trains we ride, and other consumption habits we practice hold an important key to a devastating problem, affecting families all across impoverished “red zones” in Madagascar.
Forced to survive lawless conditions perpetuated by poverty, children as young as 4 are sent to dig through the earth to make ends meet... for one controversial mineral.
Mica, a strong, flexible, and ultra-conductive mineral, keeps our devices powered without overheating.
Young Girl Shut Out Of Picture Day Over Hairstyle
Marian Scott bounced into her Paragon Charter Academy classroom in Jackson, Michigan one October morning.
Her adorable (and harmless) red hair extensions were ready for their close up. Until her teacher pulled her out of the Picture Day lineup...
According to the school dress code, little Marian’s hair was a violation and she was forced to wait outside as all her peers smiled for the cameras.
Feeling isolated, ashamed, and misunderstood, all Marian could do was cry. Luckily, her parents shared this injustice among their network.
Numbers Like These Matter As The Census Approaches
According to this interesting news from Pew Research Center, “The number of majority black counties in the U.S. grew from 65 to 72 between 2000 and 2018.” This change is particularly important because of one big event coming up - and our participation means everything.
The Census Presents An Important Moment For Black Leadership
It’s that time again!
The census is coming up and Black people NEED to be counted. It’s why multiple Black leaders are spreading through the community to remind our people why we must participate.
Because if we don’t get counted correctly, the consequences could be more dire than imaginable.
