Kool & The Gang’s roster of hits is close to our hearts, but it wouldn’t be right if we forgot to mention their summer-themed classics that make every family get-together truly special.

#1: Summer Madness (1974) - One of the most sampled songs of all time, Summer Madness is the perfect song to mellow out to in on a sunny day. Sampled by hip-hop artists like Will Smith and Ice Cube, to R&B artists like Mary J. Blige and Jhene Aiko, the instrumental is a classic.

#2: Too Hot (1980) - Filled with double entendres, Too Hot captivates everyone who hears it while teaching us how relationships can change, whether with family, friends, or lovers.

#3: Celebration (1980) - Their biggest hit of all time, Celebration is on blast whenever people are cheering and clapping, like at graduation parties. The song reached #1 on Billboard charts in 1981, and brought Kool & The Gang into the mainstream.

Kool & The Gang’s ability to create art transcends music. They are part of the cultural traditions that bring us together. We all carry unique traits so let’s use them to flow together like a cool summer breeze.
