White supremacy is all around us, and it's deadly – especially when it comes to mental health. Information about mental health is more readily available than ever, but there's still a stigma that we have to break.

Therapy IS a great option for Black people! And these services make it more accessible than ever.

For Children

With the rising rate of Black youth suicides, we must provide our children with adequate mental healthcare. Therapy For Black Kids connects parents with therapy providers and with parenting tools helpful for raising children in today's world.

For Adults

Therapy For Black Girls has a wealth of mental health information, including a podcast, blog, a “Sister Circle” membership, and a directory to help find providers. Therapy For Black Men also has an extensive list of therapists to connect with and even runs a fund helping to provide free therapy services.

Virtual Care For All

Black-owned Hurdle Health offers therapy services intentionally designed for us. They accept insurance from thirteen major providers, which could significantly lower out-of-pocket costs. Try Talkspace or Better Health for other virtual services – both offer care with providers nationwide and accept insurance or paid options.

Living in a white supremacist world is detrimental to our people now, and it's a threat to future generations. We must consider how healing our traumas will benefit us, our loved ones, and our community!

We have a quick favor to ask:

PushBlack is a nonprofit dedicated to raising up Black voices. We are a small team but we have an outsized impact:

  • We reach tens of millions of people with our BLACK NEWS & HISTORY STORIES every year.
  • We fight for CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM to protect our community.
  • We run VOTING CAMPAIGNS that reach over 10 million African-Americans across the country.

And as a nonprofit, we rely on small donations from subscribers like you.

With as little as $5 a month, you can help PushBlack raise up Black voices. It only takes a minute, so will you please ?
