Conflicts Of Interests Tarnish The Trump White House Again

Donald Trump has done it again. He’s bent the law for his own benefit. And this time it’s so bad, people are quitting - again.

His friend and adviser Roger Stone has been on trial. But, since Trump didn’t want to see him go to jail for seven to nine years, he asked the Department of Justice for a favor.

The Department of Justice, headed by former Bush official Bill Barr - who’s VERY loyal to Trump - decided to do something different. At 45’s request, they lobbied for a lower sentence. This is causing outrage.

More than 2,000 former DOJ officials demanded Barr resign, and prosecutors working on the case quit. Meanwhile, Donald Trump declared himself the actual “chief law enforcement officer” of the USA, since no one could stop him! This exposes deep hypocrisy.

The criminal justice system is more likely to arrest, harshly sentence, and execute Black people for crimes white people commit without consequences daily. Blackness has everything to do with how we’re punished.

On the other hand, Roger Stone’s case shows how flexible the law can be for white people.

If the criminal justice system was at all just, this wouldn’t be the case. Whether Black or white, rich or poor, EVERYONE would get the same time for the same crimes. However, this has never been the case because the system isn’t simply broken - it’s working against us.
