White supremacists are looking to use coronavirus (COVID-19) as a weapon to attack us. They’re being exposed by authorities busting their plans to make an already chaotic crisis even worse. So far, what we know they’ve been plotting is beyond disturbing.

Plans “to weaponize coronavirus via ‘saliva,’ a ‘spray bottle’ or ‘laced items,’ according to a weekly intelligence brief distributed by a federal law enforcement” have been reported recently. This is bioterrorism and white supremacists have already made one horrific attempt.

White supremacist Timothy Wilson was killed while attempting to bomb a hospital dealing with the coronavirus crisis. He was in touch with an active-duty soldier who was also planning to attack a news network and democratic presidential candidate.

Federal authorities have signaled that there will be harsh consequences for anyone attempting to take advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s certain that they’re expecting more attempts from white supremacists who have our community in their scope at this time.

Black America must remain alert and be aware that white supremacists are not simply trying to survive this crisis like the rest of us. Many are trying to figure out how they can use it to hurt us even more. Knowing that is an important step in protecting ourselves and each other.
