The British Royal family is one of the most well-known and affluent families in the Western world, but their wealth has Black blood all over it.

So how exactly did they manage to get so wealthy and powerful?

#1: Colonialism

The British Empire controlled nearly 30% of Africans in racist colonial systems through occupying or annexing countries like Egypt, the Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

#2: Slavery

The wealth of the royal family is due in large part to slavery. The exact number of British ships that took part in the slave trade will probably never be known, but at one point England was the worldwide largest trader in slaves. And of course, they fought bitterly against abolition!

#3: Concentration Camps

The British Empire committed various acts of genocide to establish and maintain power, including detaining members of the Kikuyu in Kenya in camps described as "Britain's gulags" or concentration camps. People there were systematically tortured and sexually assaulted.

The wealth and power of the British Royal family is built on centuries of white supremacy and colonial tyranny, in which they profited from countless acts of violence to maintain imperial power.

Today, they pretend it doesn’t exist, or that Megan Markle entering the family means it’s all in the past.  But we refuse to forget how they built their wealth.
