Joe Biden announced he is running for president by speaking directly to Black America. He directly challenges the growing tide of white supremacist movements as well as President Trump’s response, but is that enough?

Though many people know him as former-President Obama’s VP, before that he was a “tough on crime” politician whose ruthless policies laid waste to our communities.

More recently, he’s had several sexual harassment accusers come forward leaving us to wonder if he’s changed at all.

Joe authored the DEVASTATING Crime Bill that was signed into law by Bill Clinton. It gave us terrible mandatory minimum sentences, increased police terror and much more mass incarceration, and expanded crimes subject to the death penalty.

We can NEVER forget that - or this...

Aside from his role in targeting Black communities, we can’t forget Anita Hill. The way Biden aggressively grilled her for coming forward about sexual harassment during the 1991 Clarence Thomas hearings has gone down in history as shameless. Is his recent “apology” enough?

Joe Biden has been somewhat remorseful about the Crime Bill, Anita Hill, and more. His campaign website even mentions criminal justice reform, education, and healthcare. These issues are important to us, but only time will tell if Joe means what he says.
