Grand Master Jay had given up on reforming this country. It wasn’t just the history of hatred and oppression our people have suffered. It wasn’t just all the police brutality that continues to take Black lives. It was something more.
He was tired of seeing our people have no protection against racists, dirty cops, and white vigilantes who seemed to enjoy taking Black lives. He decided to take action. But there was something distinctive about his reaction.
He formed an armed group to protect Black citizens! But unlike white militias, this group would include only members who had NOT served in law enforcement in any capacity, who had NO felonies, and who legally owned guns. But Jay didn’t stop there.
He also brought together lawyers and other policy experts, making plans for an all-Black territory that would allow our people to live in peace. This organization’s name clearly conveys its energy – the “Not Fucking Around Coalition (NFAC)!”
The NFAC has over a thousand members in its ranks, and continues to grow. This group formed as a reaction to white terrorism stealing Black lives daily.
