Stay inside. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Save lives. Public officials across the nation are begging us all to do our part in the face of a crisis that no one is certain we will contain any time soon.

But word is, they’ve missed one crucial step. There’s still time - but here’s the problem.

Stay-at-home orders, business closures, and never-before-seen disruptions are impacting millions of families’ ability to generate income.

Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis already announced a moratorium on evictions, but that doesn’t go far enough. People want to know what to do about their rent and mortgages that keep accumulating!

Support is swelling through one collective in particular.

Several community organizations formed the Florida Corona Action to make sure every resident is protected during the Coronavirus outbreak and forcing the governor to DO HIS J-O-B, period.

Now here’s what we can do, from home, to make sure NO ONE is left to die in the streets because of a crisis not one of us is prepared to withstand alone.

Sign this petition to guarantee every Floridian can stay safe under a roof during this crisis, including homeowners, renters, or heartbreakingly vulnerable members of the homeless population.

Like other states, Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis can cancel the rent and cancel mortgages. He has the resources, but we have the POWER! So let’s use it.

With the COVID-19 pandemic requiring that we all have a safe place to shelter, we must act swiftly. Let’s get it done!
