The story shocked the world. In October 2021, a man riding Philadephia’s SEPTA train raped a woman ON the train. Police said bystanders “callously” witnessed the attack without intervening, some even filming it on their phones for fun.
After the police department’s superintendent publicly scolded the passengers for not acting, District Attorney and former SEPTA employee Jack Stollsteimer completely debunked the narrative with security footage! So what really happened?
Several people got on and off the moving train at different stages of the rape – meaning many had no clue what was going on. There apparently weren’t screams or other signs of assault – the man, Fiston Ngoy, was charged with raping someone unconscious! And the videos?
Ironically, of the two people who recorded video, one of them was the person who tipped off SEPTA police to help in the first place! The cops’ lies have an even worse impact – they could make witnesses not come forward because they’re scared of being prosecuted.
But why did the police lie in the first place?
These police departments would rather portray us as inhumane bystanders to violence than a community working together, because they want us to believe that we NEED them to protect us from each other. The reality is? We need to protect each other from them!
