There are three tell-tale signs a Civil War is coming, and America is experiencing all three! The first sign is on-going national conflict. The second sign is a national divide, usually over race, faith, or class.
It’s the third sign, however, that usually signals impending warfare.
When a group believes anyone who disagrees with them is conspiring against them, and then turns to violence in order to retaliate, this sign is usually one for alarm.
But is it really that serious? Or is it more of a conspiracy theory?
We’ve seen numerous examples of the third sign throughout America’s history – Southern States seceding the Union, Jim Crow, and now, Make America Great Again.
And theory or not, we’ve always stood against white supremacy. Our people relied heavily on building strong communities.
That’s because we’ve always taken one thing seriously.
Protecting each other. During plantation revolts enslaved Africans dropped everything to defend each other. In the 1960s, our people practiced protecting our own. We made sure everyone was CARED for – sharing food, weapons, and resources.
White supremacy isn’t ours to dismantle – that’s work for white people because it’s a system they created and still uphold. What IS our job is making sure we care for each other- Civil War or not.
