They're Exposing The Truth Behind This Dangerous Police Department

10 Black women, both formerly and currently working for Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan police, are filing a class action lawsuit against the department. And one of the biggest allegations? That another white officer threatened to kill the First Lady!

Senior officer Leslie Clark blew the whistle way back in 2012, that one officer in the Special Operations Division threatened to kill Michelle Obama – especially dangerous given this division allowed him into presidential security! But that’s not all.

Between hazing and hiding sexual harassment and discrimination, the MPD seems to have a lot on their record. “I’d be on the street with white officers that don’t even like me,“ said former officer Tiara Brown. “Luckily for me, the streets always had my back. The people always looked out for me.”

And for all the lies police tell, it will always be valuable to expose the truth about what goes on behind closed doors – and even in plain sight.

”If you are not looking out for your own people and taking care of your officers, how are you treating the citizens on the street in the District of Columbia?“ Clark asked. But here’s another truth.

The policing system is designed to not take care of Black people. We can’t fix it from the inside – like Brown implied, we’re better off looking out for each other.
