What Michael Jackson and Chris Tucker’s True Friendship Reveals

The King of Pop was known for being very private, often keeping to himself. As one of the most famous people in the world, he had to; however, one person managed to get him to let his guard down.

In the 1990s, Jackson wanted to meet Chris Tucker, and Tucker, of course, wasn’t going to say no to that invitation. The two quickly became the best of friends, going to the movies and shopping together.

Tucker appeared in Jackson’s iconic 2001 music video, “You Rock My World.” He got Jackson to fall out laughing during the Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration in Madison Square Garden.

In 2005, Tucker testified in defense of Jackson, who was on trial for child molestation. Tucker said he had warned Jackson about the accuser’s mother and told him her intentions were not pure.

Tucker protected his friend, through words and actions. It’s a powerful reminder of how deeply we look out for one another.
