Jameer Jackson isn’t the first actor who tried to capture the magic of the King of Pop on screen. There were definitely others.

#1: Jason Weaver (1992) - Jason Weaver portrayed the young Michael Jackson in the TV miniseries, The Jacksons: An American Dream. Jackson actually handpicked Weaver for the role and was reportedly pleased with Weaver’s performance.

#2: Edward Moss (2003) -  Scary Movie 3 featured a fight scene between Charlie Sheen and Moss, a Michael Jackson impersonator whose playful portrayal leaned more comedic than convincing.

#3: Flex Alexander (2004) -We love us some Flex, but Alexander’s role in Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story, was hands down THE WORST Michael Jackson portrayal of all. Alexander’s portrayal was a lot funnier than Moss’ was, even if it wasn’t meant to be.

We’ve seen plenty of Michael Jackson parodies and impersonations over the years, but one thing’s for certain: nobody will ever replace the real Michael. What’s your favorite Michael portrayal?
