On November 18, 2020, Lisa Cylar Barrett, the Director of Policy with the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, addressed a letter to two senators about the nomination of Kathryn Mizelle to the District Court for the Middle District of Florida. “Not Qualified,” she wrote.
Despite this, Mizelle not only was given the position, but is wreaking havoc on Black America.
According to the American Bar Association, the NAACP, and other civil rights groups, Mizelle was unqualified AND held “extreme right-wing ideology.”
