Sheriff Dar Leaf was standing next to them in a photo. As a member of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officer Association, he’s friendly with militias. But he was connected to a particular militia that had a domestic terror plot to do something unspeakable!
The militia had plans to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. They were foiled by confidential informants and FBI agents, but the terror plot raised questions about why a sheriff shared a stage with them at a second amendment rally!
His response shocked many.
Leaf asked the media, “Are they trying to kidnap? Because a lot of people are angry with the governor, and they want her arrested. So are they trying to arrest or was it a kidnap attempt?” His outrageous response drew calls for his resignation – but he had more to say.
After blatantly downplaying their actions, he refused to resign. He said he’s not defending their actions, but people aren’t having it.
It’s another example of how the police are friendly with white supremacist terror and it shows us that anything could happen.
This isn’t the only planned attempt to kidnap a governor that authorities found. White supremacist groups are planning to start a war, and they’re already making moves. We can’t depend on police like Dar Leaf to protect us – we must protect each other.
