At age 4, getting stung by bees TWICE was supposed to make Mikaila Ulmer terrified of nature’s most endangered pollinator. 

Instead, she turned a new fascination with the honeybee into a business she hoped would help save them. 

“I thought, what if I make something that helps honeybees and uses my Great Granny Helen's [flaxseed lemonade] recipe?” she shares.

Back in 2017, in Baton Rouge, LA, officer Christopher Manuel was driving his Corvette and doing 94 in a 50mph zone - nearly double the speed limit. But he wasn’t in a police car rushing to the scene of a crime - he was off duty.

He ended up crashing into the SUV carrying Brittany Stephens and her infant child, sending it spinning end-over-end. The infant was killed in the crash.
